Problem

On one hand, GSM and National Telco operators provide expensive long-distance rates to their users that do not allow these users to make low cost long distance and international calls. On the other hand, most GSM operators do not charge their users for inbound calls but charge high rates for all outbound calls even local calls. In countries that support government telecom monopoly, users do not have any low cost options for making long-distance calls because of the lack of call origination providers.

Solution

SysMaster Corporation offers callback management technology that allows GSM and telephone users to initiate long-distance via SMS messages, Email messages, or ANI authentication. The callback technology allows inexpensive calls to be initiated by remote VoIP/Telco gateways in both directions thus reducing call origination and termination costs.

How It Works

SMS Callback Service

The SMS Callback Service allows GSM users to initiate long-distance calls by sending a SMS message to a special VoiceMaster SMS Callback Module equipped with a special GSM modem. The SMS message contains user specific information such as PIN number and/or authorized Phone number. Once the VoiceMaster server captures the message, it triggers a callback to the origination GSM phone or to a specified in the user account phone number. Once the user picks up the automated call he is presented with a dial tone to enter the target destination number. The third-party gateway (VoIP/telco switch) uses two call legs to connect the system user with the remote party. VoiceMaster bills the users based on the rates set in the VoiceMaster system and the duration of the calls.

E-mail Callback Service

The Email Callback Service allows phone users to initiate long-distance calls by sending an email message using their PC to a special VoiceMaster Email Callback Module. The email message contains user specific information such as PIN number and/or authorized Phone number. Once the VoiceMaster server captures the message, it triggers a callback to the call-origination origination user using the phone number in the user account.

ANI Callback Service

The ANI Callback Service allows phone users to initiate long-distance calls by calling the VoiceMaster ANI Callback Module equipped with a special modem that will recognized the caller id. VoiceMaster will not pick up the initial cal but it will extract the caller id automatically. Once the VoiceMaster server captures the caller, it triggers a callback to the call-origination origination user using the phone number in the user account.
