SysMaster Softswitch
Details
Deployable in SIP and H.323 VoIP Networks
SysMaster SoftSwitch supports all major VoIP protocols including H.323 and SIP. It also supports multiple PSTN protocols such as SS7, ISDN/PRI, CAS, GR-303, and MFC/R2 to ensure seamless connectivity with virtually any PSTN/SS7 network worldwide.
Traffic Anonymization
SysMaster SoftSwitch supports proxy mode of operation, allowing secure separation of providers' networks and traffic anonymization. The SoftSwitch serves as a single point of entry for VoIP traffic so that all network equipment is represented by a single IP address and invisible to
Intelligent Bandwidth Management
SysMaster SoftSwitch intelligently seeks to establish communications using the codecs that gateways on both ends support. This way the throughput of the SoftSwitch increases significantly as the need for decoding/encoding the packages is reduced or even eliminated. If a common encoding format cannot be found, the SoftSwitch translates the voice packets in format compatible with each of the end gateways.
IP/PSTN Bridging
SysMaster SoftSwitch allows bridging of VoIP calls between IP and PSTN networks. Inbound calls can come via IP and/or PSTN networks and can go out via IP and/or PSTN networks based on the selected dialing plans/routing tables.
Protocol Translation and Interoperability
SysMaster SoftSwitch provides interoperability between vendor-specific implementations of SIP and H.323 protocols and ensures interworking of otherwise incompatible equipment. The product provides bridging of different H.323 and/or SIP implementations and two-way SIP/H.323 translation.
Scalability
SysMaster SoftSwitch is a scalable solution designed to accommodate the growth in service providers' networks. The product is offered as a single server in three capacity levels and can scale to handle from 240 to 1920 VoIP channels and from 120 to 480 PSTN/SS7 channels. Higher capacity can be achieved through clustering.
Multiple Routing Mechanisms
SysMaster SoftSwitch supports multiple routing mechanisms such as Optimized Routing (including least cost routing), Preferred Provider Routing, Average Success Rate (ASR) Routing and Route Fail Over. That feature enables providers to select the most profitable and high quality routes for each call, increasing both ASR and profit margins.
RADIUS Billing
SysMaster SoftSwitch can send to a RADIUS server call details record for all calls going through it. The CDR records can be later exported and viewed for billing purposes. In addition, the gateway can optionally play IVR messages over IP networks if this is required.
