Multiple Voice Codecs

nSwitch Class 5 server supports multiple voice codecs to ensure maximum compatibility with third party VoIP originating/terminating equipment. The product supports G711, G723.1, G726, G729A/B/AB, and GSM codecs which can operate concurrently on different incoming/outgoing server channels.

H323 and SIP Protocol Conversion

nSwitch Class 5 server ensures maximum interoperability with third party VoIP equipment through its protocol conversion functionality. Such functionality enables the server to bridge calls which were originated and/or terminated via equipment speaking different protocols (e.g. H.323, SIP) by converting call signaling messages as necessary.

Auto Attendant

nSwitch Class 5 server offers an intelligent IVR system which provides the auto attendant functionality. Auto attendant functionality is available at central (main reception), departmental, and end-user levels with customizable greetings prompts at each level. The auto attendant can either play voice prompts or execute IVR scripts.

Group Dialing with ACD

nSwitch Class 5 server supports advanced group dialing with Automatic Caller Distribution (ACD) functionality. Callers can dial a group extension (e.g. sales department) and the system will intelligently route calls to any of the group members using several ACD methods, including rotary, sequential, or broadcast.

Custom IVR Scripting

nSwitch Class 5 server supports custom IVR scripting that can be executed via the Auto Attendant menu to deliver custom announcements or custom call routing. For example, the system can identify a customer via a product code and route the call to the department and/or agent that handles product inquiries. Building custom IVR scripts is easy and intuitive and does not require programming skills.

Voicemail

nSwitch Class 5 server supports multiple voicemail box types, including directory, guest, general, and personal and can play different voicemail greetings depending on users’ status. In addition to retrieving emails via phone, the system offers retrieving voicemails via web interface.

Unified Messaging

nSwitch offers advanced unified messaging functionality, enabling users to receive voicemails via alternative communication methods. Users can choose to have their voicemail forwarded to their email account as an audio attachment. Alternatively, users can receive email notification about received voicemails.

Conferencing

nSwitch offers advanced conferencing functionality enabling the bridging of both PSTN and VoIP callers. The product supports both public and private conference rooms, offers conference recording and real time conference administration via phone or web console.

Follow-me

nSwitch Class 5 server offers advanced follow-me functionality, enabling users to be reached globally via a single number. If a caller dials a system user, nSwitch attempts to connect the call to phone numbers from a pre-defined follow-me list until the user picks up the call or the call gets transferred to voicemail depending on system settings. The follow-me list can contain local, long-distance, mobile and/or international numbers so that users can be reached globally.

Music-on-Hold

nSwitch Class 5 server supports Music-on-Hold for parked calls or for calls placed on-hold. The music played while the call is on hold is based on customizable audio files recorded in Microsoft Windows wave format.

Call Screening

nSwitch Class 5 server offers secure caller authentication, allowing system users more control in receiving calls. The product can ask the caller for his/her name and pass that information to the system user who decides whether to take the call or send it to voicemail thus reducing the number of unsolicited calls.
