Pleada System will be available in the second quarter of 2006.
Overview
Pleada is an integrated system for real-time distribution of video, voice and data content directly to the TV sets and/or Home Entertainment system of its subscribers. It features centralized user authentication, dynamic media distribution, and distributed media processing. The system supports multiple voice and video formats and can deliver content in multicast and/or unicast modes, depending on the particular provider requirements. As all system components are manufactured by SysMaster, they interoperate seamlessly with each other which speeds us system deployment and significantly reduces integration costs at the service provider level.

Unlimited Service Scalability
Pleada System supports unlimited service scalability. Every media distribution service can be upgraded by adding additional iptvSwitch Streaming servers and/or comboSwitch Media Concentrator to guarantee that the all system subscribers are properly serviced. If the system is implemented in a LAN environment, the multicast transport mode can service virtually unlimited number of subscribers by simply broadcasting the media content.
Dynamic Media Distribution and Load Balancing
Pleada System supports dynamic media distribution and load balancing. If one iptvSwitch Streaming server reaches the limit of its subscriber connections, the system will roll-over to an alternative server to allow transparent flow management and load balancing.
Distributed Media Processing
Pleada System supports distributed media processing where every infrastructure component has its own role and load management specifications. For example the system will encode MPEG-4 media files and then broadcast them to all iptvSwitch Streaming servers for subscriber distribution. Whenever possible the system will spread and balance the load of different tasks to different servers.
Centralized Media Authentication, Billing and Subscription Services
Pleada System supports centralized authentication management, subscription, and billing services. Each media request will be authenticated and billed by the VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server. The system will also build media channels and insert advertising content dynamically.
Universal Media Feed Types
Pleada System supports universal media types to allow conversion of multiple popular media formats to MPEG-4, MP3 and AAC compression formats. All conversion is done in real-time with low delay by the comboSwitch Media Concentrator. Once the files are properly converted they are distributed over broadband connections to subscribers by the iptvSwitch Streaming servers.
Low-Bandwidth Requirement with High-Quality Media Output
Pleada System supports high level of compression to allow low-bandwidth, high-quality content distribution (less than 800 kbps per channel). This low-bandwidth footprint allows easy implementation in any broadband environment and support for global media content distribution at affordable price levels.
Support for Multicast and Unicast Media Transport Modes
Pleada System supports multiple media distribution transport modes. Unicast mode is used in distributed environments where clients connect via HTTP/TCP or UDP protocols to retrieve media content from the iptvSwitch Streaming servers. Multicast mode is used in LAN environments where subscribers receive media content via multicast broadcasts, thus allowing unlimited service scalability with high network throughput and low initialization.
Centralized Content, Channel and Advertising Content Management
Pleada System supports media content management services that include media object and channel management and dynamic advertising inserts. The system supports both sequential and scheduled programming with direct advertising inserts. There is no need for a human operator to switch media content objects and provide advertising insertion services.
